First Update


So, my first update, with updated screenshots for the game.

I created a rudimentary souls-like combat system in the game, and though it is clunky now, in the future updates I will be expanding the system with more weapons, blocking mechanic (yeah, animation is in the game, but don't try, it won't save you),  more enemies and stats to compliment your damage taken and damage given. I planned out an attribute system, skill system and a trait system. This wil be explained more in depth in future updates. As of now, combat will probably be janky a bit but there is timing and skill involved in kiling enemies that will give you a slight bit of satisfaction. 


Also, I added more sound effects and particles so that combat feels more weighty. They are nothing more than placeholders, but I would take this opportunity to say thank you to all the people who upload files on freesound.org, as it gives us indie developers great variety of sounds to implement in our small projects.

Aestethics are also improved, I think now the game looks a bit more realistic and a bit less dreamy. And I wanted it that way. It's still far from where I want it, but free assets I used are great quality, and they are also great placeholders to give you a better sense how you want your game to look like in the long run. 

That's pretty much it from this entry. Next entry should be in June, and before that I will probably make a small entry to give you access to my GDD.  Stay safe.
